Hero: Van Helsing

Class: Archer

Skill Analysis: Van Helsing’s passive skill "Pocket Glaive" is based on chance. The lucky ones can deal multiple strikes quickly, while the less fortunate will be stuck waiting for a cooldown. The “Curse of Death” is mostly used for clearing minions. It can also increase movement speed by 25% for a short time after use. The “Bloody Hunt” is one of the few hard crowd control skills for the archer class; it is very threatening to assassins. Hit as many enemies as you can from close range with your Ultimate in the early game. In the late game, it will only serve to kill minions.

Skill Combo: Bloody Hunt→Curse of Death→Normal Attack→(when close)Bullet Storm

Challenger Skill Suggestion: Sprint

Sprint allows Van Helsing to endlessly kite enemies. Paired with his Skill 1 or Skill 2 movement speed buff, it can create chances for better damage output.

Item Suggestions: War Boots, Omni Arms, Fafnir's Talon, Claves Sancti, Slikk's Sting, Ancestral Glory.

Item Suggestions: War Boots can increase Van Helsing's movement and attack speed, which will help him kite enemies with normal attacks and his passive in the early game. Van Helsing can trigger Omni Arms' passive nicely, increasing his agility with multiple stat buffs. Fafnir's Talon completely changes Van Helsing's output. It's easier to trigger the stun passive with a high rate of attack. Claves Sancti and Slikk's Sting increase Van Helsing's crit rate. Slikk's Sting's passive is complementary to Van Helsing's own passive. The final item is up to the player - select Ancestral Glory if you want to play it safe.

Skill Tip: Van Helsing is a functional ADC Hero. He can output damage while also performing crowd control. Van Helsing should be positioned towards the back of the team to take advantage of his boosted skills, items, and speed. Then he should continuously find an acceptable environment in which to deal massive damage. In equally matched rounds, he can gank to give his team the advantage.

Hero Technique: Van Helsing needs to use his positioning in conjunction with output while continuously attacking enemies and performing crowd control. He must evade enemy skills and maintain a good attacking position. He retreats, the enemy advances, and vice versa.
